To sign up for lessons, email Mr. Weaver to let him know.  Scholarships are always available for students with a strong work ethic and financial need.  Scholarship awards may be affected by student's level of commitment as evidenced by attendance at, and preparation for, lessons; attendance at sectionals; daily class participation and preparation; and participation in concerts and other required activities.

Nicola Allen
B.M. - Midwestern State University
M.M. Flute Performance - Texas Women's University

Nicola Allen earned her bachelor degree in Music Education from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas and her masters degree in flute performance from Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas. She studied with Dr. Pam Youngblood at both schools. Nicola has performed with the Wichita Falls Symphony, the Allen Symphony and numerous musical theatre productions in the Dallas area. Nicola has taught flute at Midwestern State University and until recently taught elementary music at Polser Elementary.

Nicola lives in Lewisville with her husband, sons and 2 black labs.

Mrs. Maciel received her Bachelor of Music Education degree at Baylor University, her Master of Music Performance from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, and her Doctorate of Music Performance at the University of North Texas.  She was a band director in McAllen, Texas as well as a member of the nationally acclaimed American Wind Symphony, the Kansas City Lyric Opera, and the San Angelo Symphony.

She lives in Grapevine with her husband, Guillermo, an orchestra director in Arlington, TX.

Thomas Holmes
B.M. - West Texas A&M University

Mr. Holmes received his Bachelor of Music degree from West Texas A&M University where he studied with saxophone virtuoso Don Lefevre. He has played in many groups including the Metropolitan Winds,  Pecos River Brass Big Band, the Paragon Saxophone Quartet and the Swingtones.  Some career highlights include a soprano saxophone solo on the "Sing for the Cure" CD and a duet with Grammy Award Winning trumpet player Arturo Sandoval.

Trevor Culp earned his B.M. in Tuba Performance from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX, and is currently pursuing a M.M. in Tuba Performance at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX where he is studying under Matt Good - Principal Tubist with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Trevor has previously studied with Dr. Jeffrey Schultz, J.D. Salas, and Dave Kirk – Principal Tubist for the Houston Symphony Orchestra. While at SFA Trevor won the Annual Concerto Competition, and as a prize he was selected for a solo performance with the Orchestra of the Pines, a regional orchestra. Upon leaving SFA, Trevor was awarded the President’s Award for Outstanding Recitalist of the Year, the first tubist selected to win that award. 

Trevor currently resides in University Park, TX, and enjoys mountain biking when he has a little free time.
