Welcome Back
We hope that everyone had an enjoyable and
restful break. It's nice to see the students again, we were really
beginning to miss them. Please take a moment to refresh your memory about
upcoming events on the band calendar.
It was recently brought to my attention that the CHARMS calendar does not contain any information and we will work on getting that corrected ASAP. For now, all information can be found on the regular calendar and information for this 6 weeks can be found on the back of each practice record.
Found Cellular Phone
Last week, there was a cell phone turned in
after the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble Concert. It is a
Samsung phone from T-Mobile. Please let us know if you are missing you
phone ASAP. UPDATE: The phone will be
returned to a T-Mobile store and they say it will be mailed to the owner.

Mission and Culture
Newly elected members of the Creek Valley
Middle School Band Advisory Council have recently been working on the
development of a Mission Statement and Culture Statement for the band program.
Meetings are held once a month and we expect to finish the development before
the end of the school year. Along with developing the statements, we are
also working on a goal chart for the remainder of the school year as well as a
Goal Chart for the 2005-2006 school year.
To find out more about our process of developing the mission and culture statements, check out the handout the students were given to begin the process by >CLICKING HERE<.
"Project HAZO"
The Creek Valley Middle School Wind

alto saxophone. Plans are in the works to have
Lynn Klock, professor of saxophone at the
University of
Massachusetts in Amherst, to perform with the Wind Ensemble for the
